there are different practice tests you can take and i've been wondering if they're anything like the actual california permit test at the dmv|||Yes, they do help you prepare, but I really do suggest you read the handbook too. A lot of questions come from there too. Also, the CA DMV website has some real practices tests that can help. But Drivers Ed Direct's practices tests really did help me and I passed my first time!! :)|||Drivers ed teaches you to drive.
Dmv gives you the computer test.
Dmv doesn't do driving tests for permits.
